    Regional Sales Operations Assistant (2018-5617)-Irving, TX

     

    PrimeSource Building Products, Inc, one of the nation’s largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, has a Regional Sales Operations Assistant position available in our Irving, TX corporate office.

     

    Flexible starting times between 7AM to 9AM

     

    This position is responsible for assisting the major accounts team which supports the outside sales executives and the larger accounts that they support.  You will send over EDI orders and monitor EDI error reports and update incoming customer orders so that they are processed in SAP in a timely manner.

     

    This role will juggle many things at many times, so seeking someone with project management skills and enjoys taking on multiple projects and meeting deadlines.  

     

    You need the following technical skills to be successful:

     

    Microsoft Excel (V-look ups; pivot tables)-lots of information to review 

    Microsoft Powerpoint

    Microsoft Word

     

    SAP experience, preferred

     

    You will coordinate the logistics of trade shows and order the booth materials and marketing materials.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include:

     

    • Manage general/low maintenance accounts by addressing any customer inquiries/concerns
    • Run sales reports using Business Objects (BOBJ) and SAP.
    • Work with the pricing team to maintain account specific pricing and item cross references in SAP.
    • Coordinate trade show materials as needed for assigned accounts with third party vendor. 
    • Work with PS marketing when marketing materials are needed for customer promotions and events.
    • Monitor EDI error reports and update incoming customer orders so they are processed in SAP in a timely manner.
    • Create product planograms as needed/requested.
    • Maintain department information posted on the company intranet site.
    • Order office supplies for the department.
    • Assist executives with special projects as requested.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

     

    One or more years of equivalent/related experience in Order Administration, Sales Support, Customer Service, or Operations

     

    Bachelor's or Associates degree, preferred

     

    Experience in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment using SAP and/or other similar ERP system 


    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills useful in all levels of an organization 


    Strong ability to positively, professionally and effectively communicate and coordinate with all levels of internal and external customers (Sales, Logistics/Supply Chain, Finance/Credit, Customer Service, resellers, distributors, vendors, potential customers, etc.) 


    Highly-developed attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency 


    Possesses and maintains a positive, solutions-focused attitude with a sense of urgency 


    Requires Intermediate to Advanced Typing/Data Entry Skills 
    Intermediate experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) 
    A bias towards action and an ability to "self-manage", multitasking and prioritizing work as necessary 
    Excellent time management skills and ability to successfully work to a deadline
    Ability to work extended hours as needed, such as at end-of-month/quarter Working as an admin for a group of people. SAP and BOBJ a plus but not required.
    Applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment
    appropriate for the position or specialization.

     

    Computer Skills:

    Intermediate knowledge for Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
