    PrimeSource Building Products Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building material products, has an immediate opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative in our Florence, KY distribution center located about 25 minutes from Cincinnati, OH.

    Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with the occasional opportunity for overtime

     

    This is a fast paced role and the incumbent will need to be comfortable answering busy in-coming phone lines from our customers and make some out-going sales calls to current and potential customers. We are looking for someone with some Inside Sales or Sales experience with Strong phone skills.

     

    MUST be willing to make Cold Calls and comfortable up-selling products to current and potential customers. Will assist in order entry and data entry of sales orders. Looking for someone that takes initiative to learn about our products and provide excellent service to our customers. Knowledge of construction or building supply background a plus! Candidates with strong Sales background will be a good fit in this role.

    Responsibilities

    This Inside Sales Representative role will be responsible for selling our full line of building products within PrimeSource customer channel. The ISR will be responsible for communication via telephone, e-mail, and approved social media. The ISR will perform the following job responsibilities:

    • Answer in-coming phone lines and make out-going sales calls to current and potential customers
    • Developing a pipeline of prospective opportunities via interaction with an existing customer base and a network of prospects
    • Utilize various media to contact our current and prospective customers facilitating the sale of our products
    • Manage inbound sales calls with the ability to close the call with a sale
    • Provide value to our customers through: understanding the customer's business/needs, offering solutions, and suggestive selling.
    • Build a rapport with the customers that will bring value to the interaction resulting in closing the sale via the customer's preferred medium
    • Making outbound lead follow-up calls to sell products and services
    • Handling inbound sales lead calls to convert into sales
    • Providing outstanding customer service
    • Ability to build relationships and close business over the telephone
    • Additional duties may be assigned.

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, quota driven and be willing to work as part of a sales team. Must get along well with others and possess excellent customer service attributes.  Requires professional and confident telephone skills. Proficient keyboarding and computer skills also required. We are looking for one to three years of sales or telemarketing experience and/or a combination of education and experience. Three plus years in the building industry is a strong plus.
