    PrimeSource Building Products Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building material products, has an immediate opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative in our Indianapolis, IN distribution center.

     

    Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm with the opportunity for overtime

     

    This is a fast paced role and the incumbent will need to have basic understanding of business and office settings. Must be comfortable answering busy in-coming phone lines from our customers and make some out-going sales calls to current and potential customers. We are looking for someone with some Inside Sales experience that takes initiative to learn about our products and provide excellent service to our customers. Will assist in order entry and data entry of sales orders. Candidates with strong Sales background will be a good fit in this role.

    Responsibilities

    This Inside Sales Representative's primary role will be to sell PrimeSource's full line of building material products within the PrimeSource customer channel.  The ISR will be responsible for communication via telephone, e-mail, and approved social media.   The ISR will perform the following job responsibilities:

    • Answer in-coming phone lines and make out-going sales calls to current and potential customers
    • Develope a pipeline of opportunities by interacting with an existing customer base and a network of prospective customers
    • Utilize various media to contact  our current and prospective customers facilitating the sale of our products
    • Manage inbound sales calls with the ability to close the call with a sale
    • Provide value to our customers through: understanding the customer's business/needs, offering solutions, and suggestive selling.   
    • Build a rapport with the customers that will bring value to the interaction resulting in closing the sale via the customer's preferred medium
    • Assume additional responsibilities as needed

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Must have High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D

    Bachelor's Degree or some college coursework preferred

     

    Other Requirements:

    Must have at least 2-5 years of Inside Sales experience. NO Outside Sales please.

    Some knowledge of SAP and CRM helpful, but not required.

     

    Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, quota driven, and engaged to perform as a team. Additional requirements are: professional and confident media skills, proficient keyboarding/computer skills, and two to five years of sales or telemarketing experience and/or a combination of education and experience. Experience in the building materials industry is a bonus.
