Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, SIOP this role will be responsible for developing and managing supply chain project plans for program business working with cross-functional teams to drive operational and financial excellence. The positon of Supply Chain Projects Planning Manager will be located in Irving TX

 

Responsibilities

Leads the process to develop a robust operational plan to support program business projects such as rollouts, resets, and store expansions

Collaborates with SIOP, Executive Leadership, Product Management, Regional and Local Sales Teams to ensure that all demand plans are in alignment from a top level perspective to a more detailed customer level

Review program business forecasts with key stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Operations, Marketing and Procurement) providing overview of approach and integrating feedback as needed

Drive operational excellence and consistency across all related functional area through the implementation of standard business planning processes and tools

Manages POS and channel inventory data and analytics

Design the supply chain for new programs to minimize potential disruption (Risk Management), to ensure the best inventory position, best possible network to serve customers

Delivers the confirmed unconstrained unit forecast at the appropriate level to the supply planning and purchasing team

Leads inventory planning and supply issues and future product availability impacting the sales forecast.

Evaluate risks, plan and implement contingency plans to mitigate

Change agent-brings innovation, excitement, collaboration and cohesiveness into the group

Support planning teams and intercompany supply chain organizations in designing business processes to optimize the availability and reliability of planning information, of supply chain systems, the availability and reliability of planning information, key performance indicators, and other SIOP systems

Supports analysis and tools development for planning and execution teams

Project Manager for all end of life changes for major program products

Partners and finance teams to dollarize key SIOP metrics and forecasts for unconstrained sales, constrained sales, and gross margin, inventory, purchasing, and cash

Business leader for SIOP systems configuration, implementations, and issues

Leads collaboration of forecasting, supply planning, and purchasing teams to understand and analyze major SIOP issues and action plans supply chain projects and program business

Work closely with the business intelligence team in the development and maintenance of the data warehouse and analytical reporting tools

Analytical support for major supply chain initiatives and projects

Analytical support for SIOP special projects and initiatives

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Education

 Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Decision Sciences, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Logistics, or related field.

Advanced degree and/or professional certification would be preferred.

Experience:

Ideal candidates will be individuals of considerable influencing and sophisticated leadership skills whose previous experience includes:

 

  • 4 (+) years performing in a management position with experience in demand planning, inventory management, supply chain, and customer service.
  • Prior experience in project management, product planning, production control, inventory management, or production / manufacturing operations is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using sophisticated Forecasting, Planning, and MRP/ERP system (SAP ECC and SAP APO experience ideal)
  • Expertise in the development and use of inventory effectiveness analytics
  • Candidate must combine a working knowledge of world-class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, and business savvy
  • Candidate must be able to exert tactful influence in a matrixed organization - must be a strong team player and communicator
  • Candidate should be comfortable presenting to executive management
  • Additional requirements include the ability to think both strategically and tactically, a persistent attention to detail, ability to work with a high degree of ambiguity and a high level of comfort in working with large quantities of data
  • APICS or IBF certification ideal
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to independently identify and resolve problems or take advantage of opportunities.
  • Excellent managerial skills. Demonstrated experience managing multiple team projects in a deadline driven environment.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:

·         Strong proficient Microsoft Office skills

·         Alteryx or other data blending tools

·         Power BI or similar data visualization tools

·         SQL

·         SAP APO preferred

·         SAP ECC preferred

·         SAP BOBJ preferred
