PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products is seeking a reliable, hard working Assistant Operations Manager in our Aberdeen, MD location.
This position assists and coordinates activities of warehouse workers engaged in receiving and distributing building material products by performing the following duties. Assist Operations Manager in supervising 5-35 employees in the Warehouse. Carries out some supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
This position is responsible for maintaining and enforcing all company procedures, policies and practices.
Train new warehouse employees in order selection and loading procedures.
And other duties as needed or assigned.
We are seeking candidates with 2 year degree or at least 2 years of Warehouse Supervisory experience. Logistic background is a plus. 2-3 years of forklift and order picker experience, a plus. 50 lb minimum lifting requirement. Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word processing software is preferred. SAP experience is helpful. Building materials background preferred but not required.
