    PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products is seeking reliable, hard working Global Sourcing Analyst to work in our corporate office located in Irving, Texas.


    The Global Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for providing data analytics to support the Product Managers and Procurement teams in the sourcing and negotiations of various products. Some responsibilities include:


    • Work with supplier measurement, ratings and corrective action efforts based on data driven performance metrics. Experience working with global supply base and challenges associated with time zones and language differences.
    • Supplier Scorecards
      • Identify key metrics for Quality, Cost, and Delivery Performance.
      • Develop baseline performance for each key metric
      • Track and score supplier performance on a monthly basis and compared to PrimeSource requirements.
      • Provide suppliers with a quarterly scorecard to enable the product management and global sourcing teams to discuss improvement initiatives with the suppliers.
    • Track commodity price movements across all major markets that impact our sourced products.
    • Develop weekly Market Wire that would include info on raw material movements, pricing guidance, inventory buy suggestions, etc.
    • Monitor and report out on the Cost Savings improvement actions. Follow-up with stakeholders on improvement actions in case of performance gaps.
    • Build and compare world region cost models to compare landed costs and identify preferred regions to buy from
    • Develop strong supply chain via supplier qualification and quoting processes.
    • Develop engineered cost standards (cost breakdown) for major products
    • Create custom reports to support supply chain operations.
    • Works with other resources to perform risk and control assessments.
    • Build net cost models and dashboards for products including invoice cost, rebates, tariffs, transportation, etc.

    Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) required

    Field of Study: Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, Mathematics, or other related discipline



    4-8 years of experience


    Computer Skills:

    Proficient in standard business office software. High skill level with MS Excel, Access, Business Objects and comfortable executing large data analysis. SAP required. Tableau, Alteryx preferred.
