    PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products is seeking a reliable, hard working Warehouse Supervisor in our Springfield, MO location.

     

    Full-time 40/hr week PLUS complete benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, 401K with company match), Holiday pay and PTO 

     

    Monday-Friday: Rotating Start Time, must be flexible to come in early or stay late until the work is done, 1 hour lunch

     

    Looking for candidates with Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook), distribution with some logistics experience and Building Supply knowledge ans SAP experience is a Plus!

     

    This position assists and coordinates activities of warehouse workers engaged in receiving and distributing building material products by performing the following duties. Assists the Operations Manager (Ops Mgr) in supervising 13 employees in the Warehouse. Carries out some supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training, coaching and developing of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

    Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for maintaining and enforcing all company procedures, policies and practices. 

     

    • Plans layout of warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored. 
    • Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems. 
    • Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels. 
    • Schedules work for special and periodic inventories. 
    • Responsible for assisting in periodic cycle counting of inventory. 
    • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies. 
    • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. 
    • Issues written and oral instructions. 
    • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to all policies and procedures. 
    • Accountable and responsible for high standards of warehouse safety, cleanliness and organization.
    • Assist in the recruitment of warehouse personnel.
    • Train new warehouse employees in order selection and loading procedures.

    • And other duties as needed or assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    We are seeking candidates with 2 year degree or at least 2 years of Warehouse Supervisory experience.  Logistic background is a plus.  2-3 years of forklift and order picker experience, a plus.  50 lb minimum lifting requirement.  Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word processing software is preferred.  SAP experience is helpful.  Building materials background preferred but not required.
