    The Marketing Product Manager will support the vision and initiatives of the Product Management Team for Pneumatic Tools and Accessories.  The main focus of this role is to plan, organize, and grow the Pneumatic tools product line through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. 

     

    This role will focus on Pneumatic Tools and Accessories.

     

    Travel could be up to 30% and will include international travel.

     

    Must have Product Marketing and/or Product Management experience specifically with Pneumatic Tools and Accessories.

    Responsibilities

    • The Product Manager will focus primarily on their products and to be strategic and forward looking, to balance distribution with product growth, work with marketing on brand strategy (owning product line brand strategy), and to drive growth from existing and new products with the sales teams.
    • Work with marketing to develop collateral, PR and promotion, warranties, sales approaches (product launch plan).  Marketing owns process and PM owns content.
    • Develop under guidelines from Marketing, Legal, Finance, other for compliance, regulation, brand Control.
    • Development of specifications with connections to the production sources to ensure integrity of Pneumatic Tools and accessories specs and quality.
    • Determine product evolution (life cycle) including research and development and growth of Pneumatic Tools and accessories.
    • Product Manager sets standards for quality expectations; Sourcing conducts quality oversight and claim investigation.
    • Product Manager collaborate with the Pricing Team to provide guidance based on market dynamics, cost moves and inventory levels.
    • Owns product training curriculum, development, and deployment; works across HR, Marketing, etc., through to the field Sales organization.
    • Responsible for driving sales through Commercial, BMG and Field Sales Management.
    • Evaluates proposals from potential suppliers. Selects suppliers for a variety of highly complex or technical materials, supplies or services and negotiates price, delivery, quality and service. Develops alternate sources of supply by identifying and researching prospective suppliers.
    • Proactively manage supplier relationship, create contractual commitments, reduce risk for delivery and quality through creating capacity, fixing root cause and implementing permanent corrective actions.
    • Engage strategic suppliers and improve supplier responsiveness to meet operations and business needs.
    • Performs other duties as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably an MBA; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Five or more years of related Product Marketing and/or Product Management experience working with Pneumatic Tools and Accessories specifically with Pneumatic or collated Fastening Systems strongly preferred.
    • Strong technical acumen with an understanding of Pneumatic and or/Power Tools and Accessories is strongly preferred.
    • Experience marketing products and/or product management within a Distribution and/or Manufacturing environment.
    • Must have a strong agility to learn.
    • Advanced experience utilizing MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), and SAP Knowledge is a plus.
