    Director, Business Planning Analytics (2018-11978)-Irving, TX

    This role provides a clear, strategic vision and a plan for bringing actionable, innovative analytic solutions that help drive business performance. Requires a strong sales analytical ability, commitment to customer service, and an ability to manage large amounts of data and information in order to support strategic and tactical decision making with the sales organization.


    You will partner with stakeholders, leveraging descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive approaches leveraging and optimizing techniques and information to drive strategic thought and effective decision making for sales.  You will also serve as an internal consultant to key functions across the business with specialized support for the executive leadership team.

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand the client’s business situation and develop data driven insights that can be understood and implemented to drive business strategies.
    • Direct a team of analysts that track and analyze sales data and sales team performance; draw sound conclusions, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend effective courses of action, utilizing multiple data sources.
    • Partner with Sales Leaders to enable Account Planning specifically with market trends, account level analytics, growing share of wallet, etc.
    • Align to the overall business strategy when driving the direction of the team, projects, and processes.
    • Provide overall direction to the development of advanced analytic solutions and strategies.
    • Presentation of results and recommendations; particularly the ability to craft a coherent vision from complex output and data.
    • Develops and tracks the Key Performance Indicators to enhance understanding of the business and to improve strategic sales decision-making
    • Oversee presentation creation that provides actionable insights and recommendations
    • Manage the allotment of multiple resources and projects concurrently to ensure successful completion of analytic projects
    • Ability to convey complex results in an easy to understand, thematic manner
    • Provide developmental and managerial leadership to the team
    • Leverage your quantitative expertise to research, recommend, and implement the best analytic approaches to solving the most difficult current and future issues facing the organization.
    • Manage the allotment of multiple resources and projects concurrently to ensure successful completion of analytic projects



    • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline
      • Minimum of 10 years’ professional hands-on experience with statistical modeling, data mining, and advanced segmentation using large marketing databases
      • Minimum of 5 years proven managerial or supervisory experience
      • Proven experience managing and delivering a wide variety of analytic solutions to internal and external stakeholders
      • Solid planning, priority setting, and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects and resources concurrently
      • Proven experience influencing a business or marketing strategy through the
      application and/or management of advanced statistical techniques and data driven solutions
      • Ability to think strategically and ‘big picture’, to formulate appropriate analytic solutions to solve business needs
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good at developing relationships across diverse teams
    • Ability to display data visually, creating powerful presentations which effectively demonstrate the value of analytic deliverables to senior level staff
      • Proven quantitative expertise
      • Highly motivated, collaborative, and innovative.
    • Experience managing a team that manipulates large data sets, both structured & unstructured
    • Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, or related tools
    • Knowledge with SAS, SPSS, R, SQL, or related language
    • Knowledge of data visualization tools


    Travel:  10% to 30%, depending on need
