    Workers' Compensation Administrator (Contract), Irving, TX – 2018-11957

    Coordinate and monitor workers' compensation services provided by the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) consistent with PrimeSource business goals and objectives.  Support and plays a vital role in ensuring that the Safety Department runs effectively and efficiently.  In addition, you will also assist the Transportation and Logistics Leader.

    • Review, investigate and ensure proper reporting of all workers' compensation claims.
    • Communicate with the employee, his/her supervisor to minimize lost time claims.
    • Ensure all Accident Investigation reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
    • Manage workers' compensation files and update all parties involved regarding doctor visits, change in medical status/care, updates to work restrictions, discharge from care, and claim denials.
    • Conduct frequent and ongoing reviews of each case to ensure the file is reserved appropriately, documented timely, and that the insurance adjuster has implemented an aggressive action plan to resolve each claim in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
    • Coordinate with onsite supervisor the transitional duties associates may require ensuring a speedy smooth return to full duty. Make sure associate, supervisor, and Human Resources are all updated on changes.
    • Research billing and payment issues between associates, medical facilities, and insurance company. Answer associate questions and concerns regarding benefits and claim status
    • Maintain a record of injuries and track restricted duty and lost time days for governmental recordkeeping purposes.


    • Coordinate weekly/monthly performance data to Distribution Centers
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation on carrier base
      • Insurance Certificate Holder renewals
      • Rates within Schedule A
      • Signed and executable Master Agreements with Carriers
    • Maintain up-to-date DC equipment data
      • Lease expirations
      • Maintenance schedules
    • Ability to organize Request for Quotes (RFQ’s) on transportation rates and DC equipment
    • Support the Safety Department initiatives in support of business needs. Work closely with Regional Management and site personnel to implement initiatives as necessary.
    • Maintain documentation and prepare Safety reports.
    • Maintain an up-to-date database of all Safety training.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both individually and in group settings with all levels of the organization.



    • Post-secondary degree in a related field
    • 3+ years in a Safety Workers' Compensation Administrator role


    • Experience with Workers'Compensation laws and benefits
    • Knowledge of Nurse Line Reporting and Documentation
    • Insurance claims processing procedures
    • Records Management (medical releases and HIPPA regulations)
    • Experience with root cause analysis and incident investigation is a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2016
