    PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products is seeking reliable, hard working Human Resources Generalist/Senior Human Resources Generalist in our corporate office located in Irving, Texas.

     

    Plans and carries out policies and procedures relating to all phases of human resources including but not limited to Onboarding, Recruiting, Employee Relations, Training, HR compliance.  This is an opportunity to gain experience in many disciplines of HR.

     

    Level of role will depend on individual’s demonstrated level of experience

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Onboarding

    • Manage onboarding process and all new hire paperwork, conduct new hire orientation, run pre-employment documentation, manage E-Verify in order to ensure proper and timely processing of newly hired employees.
      • Conduct weekly virtual and onsite new hire orientation
    • Manage the background check and drug screen process and vendors, nationally
      • Administer drug tests, as needed.
      • Train new Distribution Center Leaders for each site, as needed.
    • Manage offer letter process for new hires and promotions
    • Manage 30, 60, 90 day engagement follow-up with new hires
      • Analyze and report out findings
    • Assist with managing and tracking immigration and sponsorship for current and future employees

    Recruiting

    • Lead University Relations and the Leaders in Training Program.
    • Develop relationships with colleges, locally and regionally to support the needs of the organization and specific Distribution Centers
    • Assist with outside staffing agencies to secure temporary employees, based on need
    • Manage relationship with staffing vendors
    • Recruits and interviews candidates to fill vacant positions, as needed.
    • Participate in Hiring events and projects, as needed.
    • Maintain and run reports in Applicant Tracking System (ICIMS)

    Human Resources

    • Participate in Corporate Training Programs related to interviewing, performance appraisals, counseling techniques, documentation of performance issues, performance management, Organizational Talent Review
    • Participates in updating Company policies and procedures
    • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, programs and benefits.
    • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards or regulations.
    • Assist with the termination process and notification to all stakeholders.
    • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
    • Assist with advising management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
    • Maintain organizational charts, employee handbooks, directories, and/or performance evaluation forms, as needed.
    • Assist with conducting exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
    • Assist with Employee Relations Investigations and Interviews, as needed.
    • Analyze employment-related data and prepare reports
    • Assist with managing relocation program and auto-allowance program
    • Back-up for HR Manager

     

    Qualifications

    Technical Skills:

    • Applicant Tracking System (ICIMS, preferred)
    • SAP experience
    • ADP experience
    • Intermediate level with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
    • Certifications in HR or Talent Acquisiton, a plus

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

     

    HR Generalist

    • Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years’ experience supporting HR or Talent Acquisition functions in lieu of education.

    Senior HR Generalist

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years’ experience supporting HR or Talent Acquisition functions
