PrimeSource Building Products Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Associate/Admin in our Kenduskeag, ME (Bangor) location. This is a dual role which is part Administrative and part Purchasing.

The Purchasing Associate/Admin role is a brand new position at the facility. This role will assume some administrative duties assisting the Operations Manager with billing and invoicing of BOLs and the return merchandise process. Will purchase materials and service for PrimeSource in an efficient and economical manner following established policies and procedures in processing purchase orders. Research and evaluate supplied based on price, quality, selection, services, support, availability, production and distribution capabilities and supplier’s reputation and history. Basic computer knowledge and knowledge of Excel.

This position will compile information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of building supply products by performing the following duties and a low level salaried non-exempt purchasing role.
High school diploma or G.E.D. required with some experience.
Associates degree (A.A) or Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from four-year college or university is preferred.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. SAP knowledge helpful. Must have proficiency in MS Excel to perform basic formulas and sort data. Knowledge of building supply and/or construction industry.
